1. General information about Carglass® services
Carglass® specialises in the repair and replacement of all types of car glazing: windshields, side windows, rear windows and panoramic roofs. We also recalibrate driver assistance systems (ADAS).

Yes, it is possible to come to one of our service centers without an appointment: our technicians are on hand to answer your questions and do their utmost to ensure that your problem is dealt with as quickly as possible. Please note that if the windshield has to be replaced, there is a delay before the corresponding glass can be ordered.

If you do not have comprehensive insurance, you will be responsible for the cost of the repair. You can ask for a free quote to find out the exact cost of the work.
Yes, under certain conditions our technicians can intervene directly at the location of your choice: at home or at your workplace. Find out more about home service.
The trip is free if you are insured against glass breakage, otherwise a charge of CHF 81 applies.
The technician generally works within an agreed time slot, for example between 9am and 12pm. You will be informed the day before the service is due to be carried out by text message at 4pm, and the technician will also contact you before arriving. One person must be present to sign the work order before the work begins.
2. Impact repairs, windshield replacement and driver assistance camera recalibration (ADAS)
You can repair an impact if it is smaller than a CHF 2 coin and if it is more than 6 cm from the edge. Otherwise, a replacement is necessary for safety reasons.
Repairing an impact takes about 30 minutes.
Yes, a crack can weaken the structure of the windshield and compromise your safety in the event of an accident. We recommend that you have your windshield repaired as soon as possible. Make an appointment now.
Yes, if your vehicle is fitted with ADAS systems (cameras or sensors), recalibration is essential to ensure that they work properly and that you are safe.
An impact to your windshield can crack at any time, compromising your safety. We recommend that you repair your impact as quickly as possible. A repair is five times more affordable and five times more environmentally friendly than a complete replacement.
The special resin used gives very satisfactory results. However, traces of the damage may still be visible after the repair.
3. Side and rear windows
Contact Carglass® as soon as possible. Our technicians can replace the window in about an hour.
Yes, Carglass® can fit temporary Plexiglas to secure your vehicle while you wait for the window to be replaced.
Replacing a rear window takes about an hour and a half.
Yes, we ensure that all functions, such as defrosting, are tested and operational after replacement.
4. Insurance and costs
If you have full or partial comprehensive insurance, repairs or replacements are generally covered. We will check this directly with your insurer.
No, Carglass® takes care of all the administrative procedures with your insurance company. You don't have to pay anything in most cases.

The cost depends on the type of glazing, the technology used (e.g. cameras, sensors, ADAS) and the make/model of your vehicle.
If you are insured against glass breakage, the cost is generally covered by your insurance. Without this cover, the cost will depend on the make and model of your vehicle and the type of glazing. We can provide you with a personalised quote on request.
5. Service centers and location

Our service centers are generally open from Monday to Saturday from 8am to 6pm. Please consult our service centers page for exact opening hours.
Yes, all our service centers have free car parks for our customers.
Our In-Home Service is available throughout Switzerland at the location of your choice, either at home or at your workplace , subject to certain conditions.

6. Carglass® products and services
We offer Bosch windshield wipers, Bosch cabin filters and Carglass® Protect anti-rain treatment.
Worn windshield wipers can scratch your new windshield. We recommend replacing them to ensure optimum visibility. Find out more here.
We recommend replacing your cabin filter every year or every 15,000 km, depending on driving conditions. Find out more.

7. Commitments and guarantees
Carglass® offers a lifetime guarantee on all glass replacement and repair work carried out, whether in a service center or at home.
Yes, we comply with all the car manufacturers' standards in order to preserve your manufacturer's warranty.
Yes, we recycle 100% of replaced glazing as part of our commitment to sustainability.
We only use glazing that complies with the standards of the original equipment manufacturers.
