Rain sensors
What is a rain sensor and how does it work?
A rain sensor is a device that detects rain on the windshield and automatically activates the wipers. Using infrared sensors, it adjusts the wiper speed according to the intensity of the rainfall, allowing the driver to focus on the road without having to manually control the wipers. The sensor is usually located behind the rearview mirror, integrated into the windshield.

Why and when should a rain sensor be reset?
After a windshield replacement, resetting the rain sensor is often necessary, even on vehicles without an Advanced Driver Assistance System - ADAS, to ensure it functions as intended by the manufacturer. A non-reset sensor may cause irregular wiper movements or fail to activate altogether. Carglass® performs this reset to ensure driving safety and comfort according to manufacturer guidelines.
How to know if your vehicle is equipped with a rain sensor?
You can check your vehicle’s manual or, if your wipers automatically activate when it rains, this means your vehicle is equipped with this system.
