This Cookies and similar technologies policy (hereinafter referred to as the "Cookies") is governed by the applicable Swiss law for CARGLASS (hereinafter "CARGLASS®"). This policy (hereinafter the "Policy") complements our personal data processing policy available on our websites (link to be added) and, together, they form a set of information regarding the use of our Services and the processing of personal data we collect through Cookies.

What is a cookie?

When you use our Services, we automatically collect and process data (including personal data) related to your browsing and your device (computer, tablet, smartphone, smart TV, etc.) through Cookies, based on your choices regarding Cookies, which you can modify at any time (see section “Manage my Cookies” below).

Why do we use cookies?

When using our Services, CARGLASS®, and if applicable, our service providers acting on our behalf, may install Cookies on your device. These allow us to recognize your browser during the validity period of the Cookie in question (see “Cookie Lifetime” section below).

Cookies for statistical analysis and audience measurement:

The Cookies we use allow us to compile statistics on visits and usage volumes for the various components of our websites (pages, sections, content viewed, time spent on pages, browsing paths, etc.). This helps us improve the relevance and usability of our websites and online services.

In this context, we gather information about the bounce rate. This data tells us which parts of our website need improvement to prevent users (e.g., during the online booking process) from leaving prematurely. User behavior also helps us identify short-term spikes and long-term trends. Marketing cookies:

CARGLASS® advertises online (e.g., via Google AdWords, Facebook, LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram). When you click on one of our ads, a Cookie from the relevant service is placed on your device. If you then visit our websites, CARGLASS® and the corresponding service provider receive information that allows them to:

• Count the number of views and activations of our advertising content displayed on third-party sites/apps (e.g., Google AdWords, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Instagram) that led to our websites.
• Identify these pieces of content and sites/apps, and determine how many users clicked on the ad and were redirected to our websites. This data is collected and evaluated in a pseudonymized form, meaning it does not identify you. In particular, the information is not combined with any other personal data held by CARGLASS®.
• Track your subsequent browsing on other sites/apps or advertising content.
• Dynamically tailor the display of our content, Services, offers, or advertising spaces to your browsing history and interests.

CARGLASS® and other entities that are our service providers may use Cookies on our Services to deliver their services.

This Policy informs you about the purpose of the Cookies used or set by CARGLASS® and the options available to you to manage those Cookies (see “Manage My Cookies” section below), excluding any third-party Cookies.

Cookies related to social media or third-party applications integrated into our services:

Some of our Services include applications provided by third parties that allow you to share content from our Services with others or to inform others of your visit or opinion regarding content from our Services. This is the case, for instance, with the "Share" or "Like" buttons from social media platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Instagram.

Third-party advertising or content cookies distributed via our services:

We also allow third parties (especially Google) to use Cookies (both temporary and persistent) on our Services to:

Cookie lifetime

CARGLASS® uses:

• Session Cookies, which are temporary and only active during your use of our Services. They are deleted when you close your browser. Their lifespan is limited to the time you are connected to our Services.
• Persistent Cookies, which are stored on your device’s hard drive (computer, smartphone, tablet) and remain active after you close your browser, until either your browser deletes them after a defined period, you delete them manually, or their expiration date is reached and we remove them.
