Together, we’ve built much more than a network of service centers — we’ve created a lasting relationship built on trust.

What began with a small team of five people has grown into a thriving company with over 150 employees, 27 service centers, and 50 mobile units across the country. A look back at a Swiss success story that places technology, sustainability, and customer satisfaction at the heart of its development.

From humble beginnings to a national presence

The story of Carglass® Switzerland began in 2000, at the dawn of the new millennium. As part of Belron® Group’s international expansion, a Swiss subsidiary was founded with two initial service centers in Geneva and Lausanne.

Very quickly, the quality of service and responsiveness of the team won over the first insurance partners. By 2005, the company expanded into Ticino with the opening of a center in Lugano.

People and technology at the heart of performance

In 2006, a Swiss technician took part for the first time in the international “Best of Belron®” competition, which celebrates the group’s top talents. This became a guiding principle for Carglass® Switzerland over the years: to promote and reward excellence. It’s also a reminder that technicians are the heart of the company.

In 2010, Carglass® Switzerland reached a symbolic milestone: 10 service centers and over 100 employees. The company became a key player in the Swiss automotive glass industry.

Continuous innovation for an ever smoother service

Innovation is part of Carglass®’s DNA. In 2013, the opening of a logistics center in Pratteln (BL) helped optimize delivery times and glass quality across all brands.

Starting in 2014, Carglass® Switzerland became a pioneer in recalibrating ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), the onboard technologies that assist drivers. Thanks to advanced expertise, technicians ensure windshield replacements meet manufacturer standards — for maximum safety.

In 2016, the company launched an online booking system. Customers could now report a claim and schedule an appointment in just a few clicks, wherever they were. That same year, Carglass® made its debut on Swiss television with commercials featuring its own technicians — true brand ambassadors.

Sustainable and responsible growth

In 2025, Carglass® operates 27 service centers and a fleet of 50 mobile units, now undergoing electrification. This transition to 100% electric vehicles is part of a broader sustainability strategy aimed at reducing CO₂ emissions and preserving natural resources.

Carglass® Switzerland prioritizes windshield repair for ecological reasons, as this approach is significantly more CO₂-efficient — up to 80% less — and generates less waste than replacement. After each replacement, the old windshield is systematically collected and sent to our recycling partner, ensuring that 100% of the glass is recycled.

Carglass® Switzerland is actively committed to supporting communities

Each year, Carglass® makes a five-figure donation to several charitable organizations, including the Théodora Foundation in Switzerland and Afrika Tikkun in South Africa. At the international level, the “Spirit of Belron” challenge brings together thousands of employees, families, and partners.
In 2024, more than 12,500 people took part in this fundraising initiative in support of Afrika Tikkun, co-founded by Belron®.

In 2026, twenty employees will take part in a solidarity trip to South Africa to support the Mfuleni school, in partnership with the Afrika Tikkun foundation. This project reflects the company’s social commitment to making a real difference.
